Our mission at Oura is to empower every person to own their inner potential. Our award-winning products help our global community gain a deeper knowledge of their readiness, activity, and sleep quality by using their Oura Ring and its connected app. We've helped millions of people understand and improve their health by providing daily insights and practical steps to inspire healthy lifestyles.
Empowering the world starts with living our values and empowering our team. As a quickly growing company focused on helping people live healthier and happier lives, we ensure that our team members have what they need to do their best work — both in and out of the office.
We are looking for a Staff Technical Product Manager to own the roadmap for Oura's Business Technology Services (BTS) and Workato platform — the shared integration and automation infrastructure connecting our ERP, financial, commercial, and customer systems, feeding our Databricks data lakehouse and data mesh, and increasingly serving the AI agents that act on top of all of it. You'll partner directly with Business Technology directors and their stakeholders to turn underspecified platform demand into a single, clear, prioritized roadmap spanning both BTS and Workato. You'll bring real technical depth — enough to own the platform's API contracts, versioning, and integration-pattern decisions (Workato versus custom AWS-native build, sync versus event-driven) yourself — while partnering with Enterprise Architecture and the team's Staff Integration Engineer on deep systems design.
What You Will Do
- Own and continuously prioritize the BTS platform roadmap across Business Technology domains, converting underspecified business asks into a clear, sequenced backlog that unlocks scale, international expansion, and NetSuite decoupling
- Align demand intake across BTS and Workato queues into a single structured, prioritized process, giving the team and its stakeholders one holistic view of integration/automation roadmap, planning, and priorities instead of disconnected backlogs
- Partner directly with Business Technology directors and stakeholders (Finance, Supply Chain, Member Experience, Commercial, Corporate) to elicit and structure platform demand, replacing ad hoc requests with a transparent intake and prioritization process
- Own the platform's API contracts, versioning, and integration-pattern decisions (Workato vs. custom build, sync vs. event-driven, batch vs. real-time) — technical enough to make and defend these calls yourself, partnering with Enterprise Architecture and the Staff Integration Engineer on deep infrastructure and systems design
- Build and defend the platform's narrative for executive and cross-functional audiences, translating technical trade-offs into what a given investment unlocks and what it costs
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture on platform-vs-domain scope calls, including how BTS integration flows feed the Databricks data lakehouse and support the broader data mesh
- Review and recommend the approach to requirements for MCP servers and AI agents supporting the BTS ecosystem, in partnership with AI Productivity
- Contribute to standing up the Integration & Automation Engineering team, partnering with the Director on team structure, hiring, and the transition from contractor-led to FTE-led delivery
This is a remote role based in the US.
What you'll bring
- 10+ years of technical product or platform management experience, including significant time owning infrastructure, integration, or API platforms rather than customer-facing features
- A strong technical background — comfortable writing or critiquing a spec (OpenAPI, event schema, contract) and defending a build-vs-buy or versioning call, while partnering with Enterprise Architecture on deep systems design
- Working knowledge of the core AWS services an integration platform is built on (API Gateway, Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions, SQS/SNS) — enough to make informed build-vs-buy and design calls and speak the same language as the engineers building on them, without needing to provision or maintain the infrastructure yourself
- Direct experience with iPaaS/integration platforms (Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar) and with API design, versioning, and contract management
- A track record of working directly with business and operations stakeholders to turn vague or informally-articulated requests into clear, buildable requirements
- A track record of owning a platform roadmap that serves multiple internal consuming teams, including running intake and prioritization across competing demand and disparate backlogs
- Comfort negotiating sequencing and trade-offs directly with senior (Director and above) stakeholders who each believe their need is the priority
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with a demonstrated ability to translate technical trade-offs into business terms for executive audiences
- Demonstrated use of LLM assistants and agentic build tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable) in daily work — research, drafting, analysis, prototyping, and problem-solving — with sound judgment about when AI is and isn't the right tool, and a habit of verifying output
Nice to have
- It's a plus if you also have:
- Experience standing up or governing an AI control plane, MCP gateway, or agent observability/policy layer
- Experience with ERP integration or decoupling (NetSuite or similar) in a growth-stage company
- Familiarity with data lakehouse or data mesh architectures (e.g., Databricks) and how upstream integration design affects downstream analytics and data products
- Experience transitioning a contractor-run function into a permanent platform team
