Manager Product Assurance (m/f/d)

Mission Brief

The Manager Product Assurance provides independent assurance that products are designed, developed, qualified, manufactured, and released in accordance with mission, customer, and regulatory requirements. This role safeguards product integrity through lifecycle oversight and risk-based assurance activities. The position leads mission assurance, project assurance, technical risk management, and development assurance processes to ensure products successfully perform their intended mission throughout the operational lifecycle.

Your Role in Our Space Mission:

• Lead mission assurance and project assurance activities across product development and production programs.

• Establish and maintain product assurance frameworks, requirements, and governance processes.

• Drive technical risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and escalation activities.

• Provide independent oversight of product development lifecycle activities.

• Lead design assurance reviews and product readiness assessments.

• Support qualification reviews and acceptance boards.

• Ensure effective configuration management and product traceability practices.

• Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure product integrity.

• Support anomaly investigations and risk disposition activities.

• Define assurance requirements for critical products and processes.

• Monitor assurance performance metrics and program risks.

• Provide independent recommendations regarding product acceptance and mission readiness.

Qualification Checklist

• Experience in product assurance, mission assurance, systems engineering, quality engineering, or related disciplines.

• Knowledge of aerospace or regulated product development lifecycles.

• Strong understanding of technical risk management principles.

• Experience chairing or participating in design and qualification reviews.

• Understanding of configuration management and product traceability systems.

• Ability to evaluate technical evidence and make balanced risk-based recommendations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience working across engineering, manufacturing, and quality functions.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Leadership experience within complex technical environments.

• Knowledge of applicable aerospace standards is advantageous.

• Professional proficiency in English; German language skills are beneficial.
