Manager Customer Quality & Continuous Improvement (m/f/d)

Mission Brief

The Manager Customer Quality & Continuous Improvement serves as the organization’s focal point for customer quality performance, organizational learning, and quality maturity advancement. This role ensures customer concerns are addressed systematically, corrective actions are effective, and lessons learned are translated into sustainable improvements across the business. The position drives a culture of continuous improvement, governs corrective action processes, measures the Cost of Poor Quality, and leads initiatives that strengthen quality performance and customer satisfaction as production scales.

Your Role in Our Space Mission:

• Lead customer complaint, customer escape, and customer quality issue management processes.

• Govern corrective and preventive action processes and ensure sustainable problem resolution.

• Own lessons learned processes and ensure organizational learning is systematically captured and deployed.

• Monitor and drive improvement of customer quality performance metrics.

• Develop and maintain Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reporting and improvement initiatives.

• Coordinate root cause investigations involving cross-functional teams.

• Drive quality culture initiatives throughout the organization.

• Lead continuous improvement projects targeting quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

• Support quality maturity assessments and development roadmaps.

• Partner with Product Assurance, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supplier Quality to address recurring issues.

• Provide management reporting on customer quality trends, risks, and improvement actions.

• Promote data-driven decision making and operational excellence across the organization.

Qualification Checklist

• Experience in quality management, customer quality, operational excellence, or continuous improvement leadership roles.

• Strong understanding of corrective action methodologies and root cause analysis tools.

• Experience managing customer complaints, escapes, and corrective actions.

• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.

• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.

• Experience driving cultural and organizational change initiatives.

• Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

• Understanding of manufacturing quality systems and product lifecycle processes.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Strong leadership and project management capabilities.

• Experience in aerospace, high-tech manufacturing, or regulated industries is advantageous.

• Professional proficiency in English; German is beneficial.
